Places to Fish
For most of the areas mentioned, you will need a fishing license and need to abide by the regulations. Here are a couple of places that are good places to drop a line:
The beach. Walk down to the beach, the southern end of the island is much quieter, and you can do some surf fishing.
The bridge. Walk down to the Big Carlos bridge and drop a line on either side (not on the bridge itself). The tide coming and going will supply fish looking for food in Estero Bay and the Gulf.
The state park next door. Cross over the Big Carlos and you can explore Lovers Key State park. Fishing
